Hi everybody. Every now and then, I write with shameless guilt, apologizing for my long absence from this blog. My excuse, take it or leave it, is that I’ve been working on several intense writing projects, including two related to meditation and creativity. Based on recent questions about meditation practice from new students, here are some tips:

1.If you attend a regular class (like the morning meditation classes I teach at the JCCs in Manhattan and Harlem, and privately), and it seems long (45-60 minutes), meditate for shorter periods on your own, or, for as long as you like.
